Happy Birthday Mom

For my mom's birthday she wanted to take all the grandkids to see Tarzan at Tuacahn. It was really good. Ellie and Keira were TERRIFIED of the monkeys flying through the air, we had to keep reminding them that they were people.

Thanks Mom and Dad, we had a lot of fun!

My mom is such an amazing person! She is alwasys willing to help out any way she can! I am so lucky to have such a wonerful Mom and Nana for my kids. My Mom is so wonderful and I appreciate everything she does for us. I love you Mom! It was so nice to spend the whole weekend with you for your birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!!! We love you!

Pinevalley Reunion

I can't believe it is already Pinevalley time. This is a time of year so many of us look forward to. It is so fun to visit with all the family that you only see once a year. This in not like your normal family reunions, we actually LIKE going and we all know each other pretty well. IT is so amazing how much we grow every year, new spouse, new babies... it's so fun to see everyone change! Camping out at the fun cabin, some of us are in tents, trailers and most of the kids sleep out on the deck. We play games, kids do crafts, volleyball, we have our own family testimony meeting, talent night and we finish it off with team games and of the course the dreaded WATERFIGHT!! It was so fun to see and visit with everyone. We'll see you next year! :)
Here is one of the team games we played, sling shot waterballoon. It was fun.

This is the night of the talent show....This one is fun, you have a relay trying to fill this pole up with water and the higher you get there are holes that you have to plug...Relay games and pinata for the kids

Miss Keira

Miss Ellie can now pump herself! Hooray!Haley and Easton

WATERFIGHT in ICE cold FREEZING water. Over the years it has been manditory but the past few has been relaxed. Everyone used to be drug out there. (minus great grandma and babies!)

Kids say the darndest things!

Tonight Ellie was trying to scare Carson with her scary growls and she asked him if it scared him and he said to her, "Ellie, the only thing that scares me is you!" So funny! We all laughed!

Easton is 7 months

Easton is the happiest, smiliest baby. Everyone comes up to me and just goo's over him! I had a little girl come up to me while we were at a resurant and take him from me, she didn't even speak English, she was from Germany.. A little scary but she loved him. I think he is now the SWIG mascot, the girls love him! I have to say I think he is so stinkin cute but I am the mom!He doesn't cry unless he is tired, hungry or his siblings are bugging him and he needs to be saved!Easton is so much fun! He is such a joy in our family! We love him so much! He has the biggest eyes that just light up when you look at him! Easton starting crawling at 6 months, he will get up on his knees and even on his toes and rock back and fourth, he will go a few crawls on his knees and he flops to his tummy and scoots along doing the army crawl! He can sit up by himself from his tummy. He is weighing in over 17 pounds at 6 months so I am sure by now he is close to 18! He has gotten his first bottom tooth and is working on his 2nd, oh so much fun! I hate teething! He is eating cereal with apples or pears morning and night (I try, at least once a day if not both!) He has also tried Sweet potatoes, squash(not his favorite and carrots for lunch! He was sleeping good but since he has been pushing teeth through he has been getting up. I did do a few nights straight through which was heaven so I NEED to make him cry!! He goes to sleep by himself I just need to stop getting up with him during the night!

I am so behind....Life has been so crazy. I meant to take Easton's 6 month pictures and post them. I managed to get them taken when he was 6 1/2 months and I am now finally posting them! He will be 7 months in 3 days! I can't believe it! He is growing up too fast!

Happy "LATE" Birthday to:

You will be missed Justin Terry 1980 ~ 2010

For those of you that know Justin Terry you will understand what a great loss this is. Justin passed away Tuesday, July 6th. I am so sad and I can't believe this has really happened.
The first time my family met Justin was while we were building our home in Woodland Hills 25 years ago. My dad was busy building away when he heard the crash of a bike, poor Justin was going too fast(surprise :) ) around the Hyatt corner and wrecked pretty good. My dad rushed over, not knowing who this little boy was he took him over to at the time was the Wright's home and fixed him up. Im sure this was not the first time and defenetly not the last of Justin's wrecks and brusies. Justin would come down and hang out with my dad helping around the house and playing in the dirt.
We got to know the Terry family really well, we spent every summer in Lake Powell together. Everything the Terry family touched they mastered, especially Justin! I swear there wasn't anything he couldn't do! I will always remember all the fun times, staying up late talking, playing cards, (scum seemed to be the Lake Powell favorite) butt ball, sand castles. Justin always made things so much more fun, his fun personality and his awesome smile. He always made everyone laugh and the trip so much more fun. Even though I haven't talked or seen Justin for a while since life has gotten all of us pretty busy, I will surely miss him. I feel so bad that he was in such pain and felt like there was nothing left for him. I am happy that we have such an amazing plan that will make it possible for all of us to see Justin again and that Justin is in no more pain and happy with his Heavenly Father.
My heart and prayers go out the the Terry family, Wesley, Jessie and Kadence. I am so sorry for your loss.
Good by Justin! We'll see you on the other side!
Love Houghton's
