SaNta

Classic picture!

Our Ward had a Christmas breakfast and Santa came. All the kids went out into the parking lot and Santa drove in hanging off a Fire Engine! The kids were so excited. Carson was excited till it was time to get in line to sit on his lap! Ellie was just confused to what the heck we were doing and who or what was this big red guy. As you can see from these pictures both of my kids were TERRIFIED!! I just wanted them to get a picture with Santa and I told Carson he needed to tell Santa what he wanted or he wouldn't know what to bring. I had to tell Santa what he wanted. Carson wouldn't even look at him. I would have to say the picture where I am putting Ellie on Santa's lap and Carson is hiding behind me crying is such a classic! So many people in my ward saw it before me and just laughed when they saw me.. I love the pictures! Maybe one day my kids won't be afraid...it's just something about a man in a big red suit and a big white beard that is scary??

It's All Gone! :)

Yes, I CHOPPED my hair off! This picture doesn't show the cute cut, I should not have done it curly for our family pictures(I look like Shirley Temple with chubby cheeks!) but what is done is done!! The long hair was driving me crazy, it would get stuck in my arm pits and was so heavy that I had to cut it off! My friend was brave enough to cut it off! She did a good job too! I'll get a better picture on here soon!!

Do you believe in Miracles...YES!!!

Sorry, this one is a real yucky one!
This was just after they stitched him up.
Look at what a few days does, he gets more swollen and more purple.
This was the day after.
This was the 2nd day. He could barley see out of his eye..
This was tonight.

I am so lucky that I still have a husband!
Todd went with his Dad, brothers, nephew, and friend on a once in a life time Buffalo hunt on the Henry mountain. I was up at my parents home while he was away hunting.
They had been there for 4 days when I got a call from Todd saying that he had been in a 4 wheeling accident and they were one there way to the hospital in Richfield. I could hear his dad in the back ground talking to Todd's Mom asking her to call the ER and tell them they were coming and to get directions. Of course I was scared to death. The only thing that he told me was his back, hips & shoulder were killing him, he thought he had broken his elbow and he had a huge cut on his forehead from his hairline to his eyebrow that was very deep. They had already been driving for 2 hours when he called me and they still had an hour to go.
Todd told me he would call me as soon as he knew anything. I called my parents at work and they rushed home. We decided that the best thing to do was to leave the kids with my Mom and my Dad would drive me down to Richfield.
Stan had called me with an update that they had X-rayed his whole body and did a CT and he came out clean! I was shocked!
I was scared to see Todd, I didn't know what to expect. When I got there they were just about to stitch up his forehead...as you can see it was a really bad, deep cut.
The power of the Priesthood is so strong and such an amazing thing. Todd's dad and brother's gave him a blessing before they left the mountain. They were for sure that he had broken his elbow. They doctor said that it was broken before because there was so much swelling , blood inside and trauma to his elbow but it wasn't anymore!
The guys had to go back up to camp and my Dad and I stayed with Todd. He kept getting all dizzy and nauseous so they wanted him to stay until he felt OK and could keep everything down. They finally released him at 12:00 am on Wed. morning.
The last few days have been horrible or Todd. He can't move an inch without being in so much pain. He has been sleeping in a recliner for that past 3 nights. We got him in to see a specialist for his elbow to make sure everything was OK and they said that it wasn't broken but all the tissue and muscle's had been crushed and it was worse than a break because they couldn't do anything for it. They also told him that with his back, hips and shoulder muscles/tissue had also been crushed and it would take him 6 weeks to start to get back to normal.
I feel so bad for him, anytime he moves he just grunts in pain.
Here is what happened.... Todd was in front of everyone and was heading down a dirt road, he hit a patch of loose gravel and his tire caught and threw him 10 feet over and 7 feet down (measurements thanks to Chris!) face down onto big boulders with his 4 wheeler landing on him and pinning him to the ground. He was unconscious when his nephew Gentry passed but he heard his brother in-law Rod coming and tried to yell for help but couldn't breath. His friend Larry was coming. Todd got all the strength he had left and yelled for help. It is such a miracle that Larry heard or even saw him. Todd's wheeler was still running and Larry's was a very loud one so there was no way he should have heard him. Larry said that he saw the 4 wheeler and stopped to see who it was... He pulled it off of Todd and helped him up to the road. I guess he was bleeding pretty good so Larry took his shirt of to clean him off. He got the other guys on the radio and they all came to help. Thank goodness Chris has an amazing first aid kit and was able to clean up his cut a little and stariostrip it shut. It took them 3 hours to get to the hospital, meanwhile Stan was pulled over by a cop and escorted to the hospital after he saw the situation. Chris was also pulled over.
I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone that helped Todd. I am so thankful for the priesthood. I know it made such an amazing difference on his outcome. I know that Todd had angels watching over him that day. I am so thankful to have had everything work out so well, it is so amazing he didn't break one bone or rib and lived!!! It could have been so much worse!
We all think that we are invincible but we aren't, it is sad that it takes things like this to remember how fragile life is and we don't know when our day will come so we need to live everyday to it's fullest. Life is too short!

I want to tell Stan, Chris, Rod, Larry and Gentry thank you so much for everything you did for Todd. Mom, Dad and Merilee, thank you for helping me get to Todd, letting us stay with you and taking care of us and our kids while we were there. Delena and Jon, Thank you for bringing the chair over, cleaning my house and coming over at 7:30 am so I could take Todd to the Doctor. Mac & G.G for tending so we could have a break. Brooke, Brandon, Kyle, Ellen, Shelly, Diane, Nate & Ashley, all of my ward, friends, family, everyone...thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers and calling and checking up on how he is doing and taking care of ourf kids. We love you and are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives.

Todd, I love you! I am so thankful I still have you in my life! You are my everything, I don't know what I would do without you! I am so sorry that you are in so much pain and I will do anything to help you. I am so thankful you are OK! I love you! '
I want to thank my Heavenly Father for taking care of my Todd! He truly watched over and blessed Todd and I am so Thankful for that! This could have been and should have been so much worse! Thank you Heavenly Father for helping Todd get through this. I am forever grateful!

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was so much fun this year. Carson understood the whole thing and Ellie was just happy to have some NUMS!! It was fun to see Carson get all excited to go Trick or Treating. He picked out his superman costume and was so exited to wear it.
We have never gone door to door since they have started the Trunk or Treat. Our neighborhood did Trunk or Treat a few days earlier which was nice so we could still go door to door on Halloween. It was fun to go back to the old tradition way. We went with Jon, Delena and Noelle and our friends the Lunds. It was fun to see all the kids light up at each door.
It was a big change being in St. George for Halloween, it was a little odd to be trick or treating and not have snow or wearing a coat over your costume! It was nice we could just enjoy the night! Ellie loves her Aunt Delena
We went to G.G's and Papa Mac's before the big night started.

Ellie LOVES her TUTU that her Nana made her, she twirled around and was very happy not to be in the Giraffe costume! Thanks Nana!
The boys were poor sports.... I love Halloween and to dress up. It was a fun night.
The kids thought carving pumpkins was fun but really gross, they wouldn't touch the insides! I think next year we will let them paint them early on and then the last week or so we will carve them. I think they would have more fun painting them anyway..
This was after the Trunk or Treat. They were so excited about all the candy! They all were eating it while they were going trunk to trunk.
These are Carson's friends. The Hulk is Hudson and the other Spiderman is Corbin. These guys always have so much fun. They are such nice good boys.

Ellie was a Giraffe for the Trunk Or Treat and hated it, we had to change her costume for Halloween! :)

This is our friends Chris & Candice Poulsen's little boy Kayson. He is such a cute little guy! He is usually all full of smiles but that was not the case the day we took these. He was a little stinker! I never realized how much work you really have to do to get kids to smile, heck even look at you!We still managed to get a few good ones! Thank you Candice for letting me do these!
